Crypto, stocks and forex from one account

Market hours, volatility and how prices are sourced when you trade several asset classes side by side.

Key takeaways
  • One USD balance covers crypto, stocks, forex, commodities and indices.
  • Crypto trades 24/7; other markets follow their exchange sessions and show Market closed outside them.
  • Trades always execute at the server price; positions on closed markets wait for the reopening.
  • Volatility differs a lot between markets — size positions for each market separately.

TRADE818 lets you trade crypto, stocks, forex, commodities and indices from a single USD balance. The mechanics are identical everywhere — the same order ticket, leverage, fees and TP/SL — but the markets themselves behave very differently. Knowing those differences helps you avoid surprises.

Trading hours

  • Crypto trades 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Forex trades around the clock from Monday to Friday.
  • Stocks and indices trade during their exchange's regular session — for US stocks roughly 9:30–16:00 New York time.
  • Commodities follow the sessions of their futures markets, which run most of the day on weekdays.

When a market is closed, the terminal marks it as Market closed and the order button is disabled. Pending orders, take profits, stop losses and liquidations for that market wait until it reopens. Positions are then evaluated at the reopening price, which can gap away from the last close after news or a weekend.

Where prices come from

Crypto prices stream live from a major exchange, together with its order book and trades. Other markets are updated from exchange quotes every few seconds. Every trade is executed at the server's price — never at a price sent from your browser — so what you see in the terminal and what you get are based on the same source.

Volatility is not the same everywhere

What a typical day can look like
Major currency pair0.3–0.8%
Large-cap stock or index0.5–2%
Bitcoin1–4%
Smaller altcoins3–10%+

The same 20× leverage that is reasonable on a currency pair can be reckless on a small altcoin. A practical approach is to choose leverage per market based on its usual daily range and the distance to your stop.

Thinking across markets

  • Different markets can still move together — in risk-off moments stocks and crypto often fall at the same time.
  • Holding stock or index positions over a weekend exposes you to gaps on Monday's open.
  • Earnings, central bank decisions and economic data move specific markets sharply; check the calendar before trading around them.
